Data deletion

Last updated: 11 October 2026

Draft document. Working text drafted for the prototype: it must be reviewed and approved by a lawyer before any commercial launch.

You can have the data Tchopa holds about you deleted at any time, including data received from Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and WhatsApp. This page explains how.

1. From your account (immediate)

Sign in to Tchopa, open Settings, then choose “Delete the business” (erases one business) or “Delete my account” (erases your account and the businesses where you are the only member). To confirm, you type the business name (deleting a business) or your password (deleting your account).

Deleted: your reels and files, the media library, the WhatsApp message history, the connected social accounts (tokens erased, authorisation revoked with YouTube and TikTok) and profile information. You can first download your data in Settings > Export my data.

2. Disconnecting Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube

In Settings > Connected accounts, click “Disconnect”: the access tokens are deleted from our servers without erasing your Tchopa account. You can also remove access on the network side: Facebook and Instagram: Facebook settings > “Business Integrations” > remove Tchopa; TikTok: the app’s security and permissions settings; Google: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Content already published on your accounts stays under your control: delete it directly on the network concerned.

3. WhatsApp data

The messages, voice notes and photos you sent us on WhatsApp are erased when the business or the account is deleted. To stop the conversation, stop writing to our number or send “STOP”. The messages also remain stored by Meta under its policy: you can delete them in your WhatsApp app.

4. By email (without access to your account)

Write to {{COMPANY_DPO_EMAIL}} with the subject “Delete my data”, stating the email address or WhatsApp number used. We may ask for proof of identity (for example a message from the account’s email address). We confirm the deletion within 30 days.

5. What may be kept

Some data is kept to meet a legal obligation, only for as long as required: invoices and accounting records (10 years). Technical backups are purged within 90 days at the latest.
